This is aging beautifully, with lovely cassis, lead pencil and a touch of iron on the nose. Subtle earth and savoriness suggests initial evolution. This is still quite packed and structured, with medium to full body and tight, fine-grained tannins. Bone-dry in terms of fruit sweetness, with a long finish. 60% cabernet sauvignon, 30% merlot, 6% petit verdot and 4% cabernet franc. Around 45% new oak. Drink or hold. From a vertical tasting at the winery.
