Dom Ruinart Rose 1988 Magnum

Bottles with a direct release mechanism. I’ve always had a terrific time with this champagne! The most crucial thing is that there are still beautiful bubbles! Strawberry fruits with a berry nose. The magnificent red cherries from the Pinot wine are well merged with the vintage juice on the tongue.
Normally, I find vintage rose to be too costly, so I stick to the regular cuvée because adding still red wine merely doubles the price! Another issue is that the still red never fully integrates (it takes too long) and is constantly fragmented. When the red wine of the vintage is good, the champagne cuvée may not be. Both the red and champagne vintages must be excellent in order to completely compromise!
