The Montrose 1971 has a brown with subtle brick undertones. The nose has developed slightly, with notes of chocolate, soil, and undergrowth.
The palate is rich, hungry, and flexible. The finish is velvety and elegant. The wine is delicate, smooth, and well-balanced.
