Vega Sicilia Unico Especial 1965/1973/1975 – Release 1987

Brick red color with a clear rim. Decanted 30 minutes and it improved as we drank it during the meal. Sour cherry with woody notes although the wood toned down during the time we drank it. Sleek, smooth and pretty with great depth of flavor. This deserves a lighter meat dish like veal or pork or even duck with no spiciness. Very light bodied and delicate but with finesse. As I mentioned back in 2018 when I drank the last bottle, I expect this will hold here for many years but I don’t expect improvement. Lovely.
Label says this is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Merlot, Tinto fino y Albillo. (Cellartracker)
